Oklys® with a new look – and the same dedication to your health

On February 13, 2025 We have started a new chapter for Oklys® – the product that for years has been synonymous with pain and inflammation relief now features a refreshed look.

The new design is a natural continuation of the brand’s development and reflects our commitment to becoming even more recognizable and closer to the people who trust us every day.

This change is not just visual. It is a message — Oklys® is evolving, growing, and continues to put the patient at the center of everything we do.

We celebrated the relaunch with excitement together with our entire team because we believe that behind every strong brand stands a strong and dedicated team. We thank all our partners and professionals who share our journey.

Oklys® moves forward — with a new look, but the same mission: to provide a reliable solution for pain.

Painkiller — Star: Oklys with a cameo role in the demon’s autumn

The fastest-acting painkiller Oklys has become a screen star. Our product appeared in 4 episodes of the popular Bulgarian series “The Demon’s Autumn,” the sequel to “The Devil’s Throat.”

In the second season, detectives Teodora Duhovnikova and Vladimir Karamazov, playing Mia Yazova and Filip Chanov, had to unravel a series of sinister murders in our old capital, Veliko Tarnovo. A case that gave headaches to more than one of the commissioners in the series.

We won’t reveal who the killer is, since you can still watch the series on Nova Play, but we can share that Oklys played a key role for the characters in episodes 4, 6, 9, and 11. Thanks to the fast action of ibuprofen, enhanced by the amino acid L-arginine, the characters quickly overcame their pain and continued with the investigation.

More observant viewers have surely noticed that Oklys played a very successful role, helping several characters relieve their pain.

It helped Mia cope with severe headaches, saved Zaimova from menstrual pain, and enabled Haritonov to successfully complete the mission by relieving his back pain.

And in the penultimate episode, when everyone could finally breathe a sigh of relief, Oklys came to the aid of Dr. Dora Yazova against her severe toothache, just as she was writing her autopsy report.

Pain doesn’t ask — neither in real life nor on screen. But everyone can ask for Oklys.

We saved the most days of pain in 2022.

You know that a person spends one-third of their life sleeping. But do you know how many days we lose when we’re in pain?
For example, take menstrual pain. About 85% of women experience it for at least two days every month, between the ages of 14 and 60. That adds up to at least a thousand days of pain for just one woman. That’s really a lot, isn’t it?

Let’s also add the times a person has suffered an injury. We can include in the count the annual viral and flu illnesses, during which a fever knocks us out of commission for at least 7 days.

The total adds up quite a bit, doesn’t it? Days with pain are days when nothing else matters except for the pain to stop. All plans, dreams, and even daily tasks take a back seat until the pain subsides.

That’s exactly why we created Oklys — to save the days lost to pain for everyone who doesn’t want to stop living actively.

We developed the pain relief products Oklys and Oklys Forte, containing 400 mg and 600 mg of ibuprofen respectively, enhanced with the amino acid L-arginine. Based on a survey conducted among doctors from various specialties, the results showed that within 5 minutes after intake, 2 out of 3 patients reported pain reduction, and within 10 minutes, 9 out of 10 patients experienced an analgesic effect regardless of the pain’s etiology. Among patients with dysmenorrhea, there were no cases without relief.

And the days with pain started to decrease.

The more people learned about us, the fewer pain days were lost. Just last year, we managed to save 1.4 million days of pain!²
This earned us the honorable first place in the category “Over-the-counter painkillers in sachet form” for 2022, according to IQVIA — an independent company analyzing data in the healthcare sector.

We owe our success to the star combination of our two main ingredients – ibuprofen and L-arginine.

Here’s why:

Ibuprofen is one of the most widely used nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), known since 1961. It has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic properties. However, it is absorbed relatively slowly by the body and, accordingly, begins to act more slowly—much slower than one would want when trying to quickly relieve pain.

That’s why the amino acid L-arginine comes to the rescue. It is one of the most common amino acids in nature and has very good water solubility, which is why it is used as a carrier molecule. Molecules attached to L-arginine gain its water solubility, significantly increasing their absorption speed.

This is exactly how Oklys successfully reduces the number of days with pain. We hope that in the coming years, together we will become even better at saving days from pain.

Since one-third of life is already spent sleeping, why not fill the remaining time with more pleasant activities, dreams, and plans?
